Magic Eye and NaNoWriMo

I'm posting an early Magic Eye this week because I'm heading off for a long weekend tomorrow (woo hoo!). And for anyone who's wondering, the answer is no; unfortunately I didn't lose 7lbs in 3 days, even though I turned down a jam doughnut and only ate one small Kettle chip! (Maybe it was the chocolate...) So I'll be the one knocking down small children as I run for my towel in-between water-slides and rapids!

Back to the Magic Eye - as you stare at the picture, remember to 'relax' your vision and fix your focus as if you are looking into the distance. Can you see it? Now say "awwww."

Finally, I'm excited to say I've just signed up for the crazy event that is NaNoWriMo. I've never done one before, but from what I've heard, I'm expecting my life to be on hold for most of November. I really, really need a kick up the butt to force me to crack on ('scuse the pun) with my writing, so here's hoping this will be the catalyst.

Let me know if you're taking part - I'm going to need all the help I can get! (and will be ready to cheer you on too, of course :o) ).

  7. Nano is a great catalyst. I use it every year because I need a kick in the ass and deadline to get me going.

I have stereo blindness, so no magic eye for me, but if you want to add me as a writing buddy for nano (MBee) I'll help kick you in the ass too! :D

  8. I'm not doing nanowrimo, althought the more I hear about it the more interesting it sounds, but I can certainly see the rose, even if I thought they were strawberries at first. :)

  10. @Laila - I only decided on a whim after seeing reading all the hype and buzz. I hope I don't live to regret it :o/ But I really do need to jump-start my writing, so I think it will be beneficial! Will let you know...

  18. Good for you signing up for NaNoWriMo! I would love to do it, but with trying to get my first book ready for publication, I just don't think I'd have time. I'd like to start writing the next book, but it probably won't be until mid-November or December by the time I'm finished with revisions. Once the book is out to pre-publication reviewers, I can take a bit of a breather and start writing again. I might set myself my own personal challenge though, just for fun! (Is it sad that that's my idea of fun?? lol) Good luck, and I'll be keeping up with your progress! ;-)
